CBC online vote re covering up while NIP

Thread Starter
I imagine this is in response to the H&M nurse-in, and the recent WestJet incident. It's an online poll regarding whether or not women should cover up while nursing in public. Currently the 'No' is winning by quite a bit, but should you care to take a look:

Hmm, where's the option for "only if they feel like it"?

I voted but I hate that it even has to be asked. Westjet incident? what happened?

I have become so disallusioned lately reading the venemous comments on all the web media articles pertaining to the H&M thing. And for the life of me I can't imagine what "cover up" means to most people. The way people talk, you'd think all breastfeeding women stripped to the waist in order to feed their babies (which would be legal in Canada, as a woman has the right to go topless anywhere a man can do so). Most nursing moms don't flash that much skin even when they're not being particularly "discreet". Boggles the mind, really. And don't get me started on butt cleavage.

true- you see more T&A at the mall than you do when a woman is breastfeeding her child in public..

That's awesome the "no" is winning! Women shouldn't have to cover up. I always see these polls with the other side winning. Usually it's close to 50/50, but still. Nice to know not everyone is so narrow minded.

The decision to cover up or not to cover up should be left up to the mother and not the law.

The only thing I can figure is that people are really offended by breastfeeding than the skin itself. Or I could be wrong. Either way it doesn't make sense to me either.
