Want Breastfeeding Moms in Central CT for Book Project

I’m working on putting together a book of breastfeeding portraits because I just really hate most of the breastfeeding books out there. I do still need models, particularly women of color, so if you are interested please let me know so we can set up a time for a session. The session would be free and I will give you an 8X10 of any one image from it at no charge.

You can see some of the finished pages here: http://www.memoriesbystacie.com/blog...tfeeding-book/

I have a rather large number of toddler shots so, though this is oddly backward, what I really need are bitty baby models. Or women of color. Or tandem pairs.

Hi Stacey!

I know my nurslings are too big for what you're looking for, but you should come by the Family Wellness Center sometime -- Wednesdays are usually pretty well attended. There are a ton of mamas nursing babies there. If you can't make it down, you could ask Julie Deak to put a notice in one of the weekly event reminders she sends out. Her e-mail is deakj@chc1.com.

I made a few friends when I was in the WIC program and we were all nursing together, and we were a pretty culturally diverse group. Our kids are all toddlers now, but you could ask at the Middletown WIC if they still have a breastfeeding group going; I'm pretty sure they do. I don't recall the number, but they're on Washington St. (Rte. 66) right across from It's Only Natural.

That is a really good idea, thanks!

And I'd LOVE to shoot your nurslings some day. I am just so amused/confused that I have all these toddler shot and hardly any baby shots. Who said toddler nursing is only for hippy weirdos?
