I dont know if this has been posted yet but I thought it was great she talks about getting advice from a lac consultant.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt spoke about how breastfeeding both babies at the same time plays a part in managing the chaos. Angelina said, "They eat every three hours and I’m getting better at holding them both for feeding at the same time, so that helps. Usually, the other kids come in and hold them when they finish. "We try to get them to eat simultaneously for the sake of management, but it gets a little crowded at the bar!"

they prepared in advance, got help from a certified lactation consultant, and were motivated and psyched to succeed.

She really is a rockin' parent. She's tandem nursing Shiloh too I am pretty sure. And she doesn't have nanny like most celebs do.

I think thats great. I'm bfing twins, a lot of people are shocked, surprised, in awe. When the J-Lo People mag came out, I really felt it was an unrealistic portrayal of how real life twin motherhood is (obviously). Hopefully Ms. Jolie will be an inspiration to other twin mamas that they can successfully breastfeed both of their children.

hmmm, i am so confused. i read an article when Shiloh was born where she said she was too 'adhd' to breastfeed because she couldn't sit still that long. anyone remember that? i will try to look it up, but of course i can't rememeber exactly where I saw it.

It might be her maturing as a parent and a person. With her adopted kids breastfeeding wasn't an option. With her bio-kids there is the options. She does enough and seen enough women to know the importants of BF. She might not have had the support, information, and/or determination with Shiloh.

She might also have the attitude some is better than none and has no intentions to nurse for 2 years.

Or she could have been to ADHD but evolving as a parent and is going to try harder this time around to nurse longer.

Also we don't know if she has some body issues that make her more uncomfotable.

She is human. Not infalable and could be doing the best she can.

Some comments might have been made to keep the camaras away.

I remember seeing an interview with her and she mentioned that she had just finished nursing Shiloh. It must have been for the today show because I was living in Germany at the time and that was the only American tv show available for downloading every day.

I remember reading she did for a while but how many other working moms give up on breastfeeding if they dont have support? I think its great she is even trying with the twins. The article also mentioned Brad's parents are staying with them. Hopefully with the lactation consultants help and more family support she will keep it up longer this time. I know I weaned my first early because I went back to work and really really regreted it but 16 yrs ago I had little help. Maybe regret of not nursing Shiloh longer will make her more determined with the twins.

Sorry to say that but she gave up breastfeeding hilo early on. SOmething about her weight I heard ( Her Angelina not Shilo)

Huh. One of my friends was talking about how Angelina had talked about tandem nursing in People magazine. maybe she was referring to Angelina nursing both twins. Usually when I hear 'tandem nursing' I think of someone nursing an older and younger child.

Oh, they have nannies. Several of them. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, and it's pretty obvious that they spend loads of time with their kids, but there are nannies. I'm actually kinda jealous about that. You always see photos of one of them out with just one or two kids and I would love to be able to do that. My big kids would really like more time with me w/o their little brother tagging along.

According to the article I read, she stated that she did not have nannies, only their parents who helped out a little bit after the twins were born. *shrug* ETA: I googled and it looks like they really do have nannies. Well that's a disappointment.

It is great that it shows women that hey can bf twins- esp. with the huge amount of celebs who are having twins these days!

I also find it deceiving when celebs say they get little help and then they do. It's as though they are trying to look like they can "do it all" in just another way. I am sick of society looking at celebs as super human but I def feed that fire by paying attention to all of the gossip/hype.

She BF Shiloh for several months at least.
I dont think its disappointing that she has nannies. They have 6 kids, its nice to have help. It seems obvious that they do most of the work themselves. They are always photographed with the kids, instead of the nannies with the kids.
I think its awesome she is BF the twins. Most moms of twins dont, heck most moms of one baby dont BF for very long. She must believe its worth it if shes putting in all of this effort to get it right.

I am not sure where the link is, but I read another article where she said the article stating she bf'd only 3 months was incorrect and she ahd bf'd for nearly a year. I'll try and find it.
