It is funny you posted this because we have similar stuff popping up here, and it leads me to a question. Public Health here is doing something very similar, facilitated by a nurse...and there is another new program here (not even certain who's doing it!), involving mothers trained to provide peer support. Which leads to my question...
I am all for anything that supports moms. But as a LLL member and supporter, I just wonder why there are such similar programs popping up? Like, couldn't funds be directed to a different model of support network...to let moms pick a support system that works for them. Or is it that public health etc don't agree with LLL philosophy, or feel it LLL is underutilized or unpopular? Just wondering if others in other areas have noted this happening and what their feelings are about it. I suppose that it kind of a S/O from here, please let me know if I should start another thread.
