Nail polish?

Any recommendations for a natural, not-so-toxic nail polish? I'm guessing my NYC and Wet 'n' Wild nail polishes aren't that good for me or the environment, but I don't know what brands are good.

Henna looks beautiful on fingernails and is natural!

I haven't tried this, but I've seen it advertised a few places.

How do you use it? Would that limit the color choices to various shades of brown?

I'm also looking for a safe nail polish for my daughter. I've been saying no everytime she asks since my doctor said that nail polish is full of cancer-causing chemicals. But then I went and got a pedicure the other day for an event this weekend and now I need to find something for her toes too!

Girrrrl, it is so easy. You make up a batch of henna and paint it on your fingernails. Done.

It stains the nails a deep dark color, so you probably would't want to do this if you are going for a, say, french manicure I'm thinking that if you applied it and quickly took it off it wouldn't leave a too too dark stain, but I haven't done that myself. I leave it on as long as possible.

I am having my hands, feet and fingernails henna-ed for my wedding and can't wait!:
