Our little girl will be Amelie. We haven't picked out a middle name yet.

If LO is a boy, he'll be Milo Wallace.

If LO is a girl, she'll be either Dinah Grace, or Dinah Steffy.

Steffy is my grandmother's middle name, and it was HER mother's maiden name.

We just REALLY like Milo Wallace!

No family connection with the name Chris and I chose - we just genuinely liked the name. I think we narrowed it down from a few we had liked from a book, actually. It fits her perfectly, though!

FIL and BIL are both Kelly, so we won't be calling her Kelly. And Jenae is a combination of my names... but my mom and sister both have Renae as a middle name, which is where "Lenae" came from. So, this is a mixture of mixed names.

Ooooh I love the middle name Jenae....that is my middle name....only it is spelled Jeanae after my grandmother whose name was Jeanie.

I think we're going with Dexter for a first name, Dex for short. No middle name yet, although I'm lobbying for Reid or Rhys. I can't think of anything else I like with Dexter.

Oh yes with our names, they are after family too.

Jasce Edward Michael....Edward after my dad and Michael after DH's dad.

Calli Elizabeth.....Elizabeth is my mother's first name even though she goes by her middle name which is Joanne.

no family names here...one of our rules is not family names...I was named after my mother and grandmother and dh was named after his uncle and cousin...we both we wished we had original names...so our kids get names we like. No other reason for naming them what we do other then loving the name.

No, you're not alone - our daughter's name is Bridget Kenna. While the Kenna part is a family name, we picked Bridget just because we like it

This babe's first name is all chosen: Thierry Djimon (or Thierrey Djimon, I can't decide which I like better) and we are still out on a middle name. DH wanted Vidal after his grandfather but realized after saything the whole name "Thierry Djimon Vidal" that it doesn't go well together. I really like the name Kikehonee but I haven't convinced DH yet...

My husbandperson is SET on the name Eowyn (from Lord of the Rings) if the little bugger is a girl. I think it's very pretty, but haven't agreed yet. I have an uncommonly spelled common name, and that's annoying enough - I'm afraid a child might be rather annoyed with us for a *completely* unusual name that she'd always have to spell and pronounce for people.

On the other hand, my mom's name is that way, and while I think it annoys her sometimes, I do think that secretly she likes being just about the only one of "her" that there is.

Why does picking names have to be so difficult?! :

Sara. We are stuck on the middle name. I like Kate but DH says no. It's all subject to change anyway. She might not look like a Sara

We haven't decided 100 percent on a name yet for this little girl. I like traditional names that people can pronounce when they read it. As a former teacher who did a lot of subbing, I feel strongly about that.

We are leaning toward the following, but the list changes daily.

Charlotte, Rosalie, Adelle or Adella, Sophia....

If we have a girl, she'll be named Caedryn Grey. a boy will be tentatively named Derrigan Sage. We're not 100% on the boy's name yet, but we both like Derrigan. We disagree on the spelling, though. I like it with an E, he likes it with an A..

This baby is going be Jack ( Nathan my 4yr old is very set on the name) His full name will be Jackson Charles -- Jackson was my paternal Grandfather's middle name Charles was DH's grandfathers name ( as well as his uncle's.)
All of my boys bear some family name ( my oldest carries part of his paternal grandfathers name, DS2 has my dads name as his middle name, DS3 carries his dads name as his middle name )

Yeah that's cool- we named our first born William John- but surprisingly, there are no Williams in our family lines- we just love the name William and Liam for short. John however *is* family. (and who doesn't have a John in their family? lol)

I'm cool with naming the middle name after family, for me personally. But...I guess now that I think about it- Daniel, the middle name for this LO is part of both sides of the family- but it didn't occur to me because we just like it. So more of a coincidence really.

I just have to say though...It is pretty funny that everyone and their dog who meets our firstborn thinks he *must* be named after someone...

And no, he's not Bill either. Not that there's anything wrong with Bill for an adult but um, not calling an 19 month old Bill.

One lady at the store was insisting that I will call him Bill one day- "You just will" she said, "You'll see"

Oh brother. Great if someone else does but me, not so much apparently.
