tmi alert. just now when i went to the bathroom, the tp was tinged ever-so- slightly with pink. not like a streak, its just like the cm itself was a TINY bit pink. like i had to hold the tp to the light to see it. im really hoping this isnt the start of a mc could you all keep me in your thoughts? is there anything else to explain this? af is due tomorrow, could that have something to do with it? maybe stuff continuing to impant? bah!!! had a tiny tiny bit of cramping earlier, but nothing now. the cramping i did have was not at all alarming. anyone else had this before and ended up ok??

I've definitely heard of women spotting and still having a successful pregnancy. Good Luck, dear. Thinking of you.

Something like 30 percent of women spot in pregnancy. Of those women who spot, 75 percent go on to have successful pregnancies. More likely than not, it's nothing.

However, if you're like me, spotting could mean something. If I were you, I'd go to the OB and have him check you out. Most likely, he'll tell you it's nothing and normal. : I'm thinking of you honey. I know how scary it is.

A few days after AF was probably due (my cycles are between 21 and 28 days, so it was within that), I got a little of what you've described. A little achy, a little tiny faint pinky brown on the TP. It lasted maybe a day or two. My BFP was after that, by about a week. Since this is when your period would have been due, it's probably nothing to worry about. Drink lots of water and think good thoughts.

I had a considerable amount of bleeding with my first PG; enough that I thought it was a light period (I wasn't aware that I was PG at the time). We went on to have a healthy boy with no complications.

with my oldest dd i had that and then found out we were pregnant 3 days later...i thought it was the start of af, but it never progressed...

thank you all i got a bit more blood last night before bed, and woke up to nothing this morning. i am still really nervous, but feel a little better. im going to take it easy today and see if my dr will see me next week. i have to go in and take a test to "prove" im pg before they will let me pick a midwife. ugh. my dr will probably not do anything pg related beyond the initial pg test. so annoying!

I had implantation spotting with #2, just some pink-tinged mucus when wiping. Very common!

#3 was a chemical pregnancy and the bleeding with that started dark red like a period.

thanks because for the nice words! there was some red blood, but it was only enough for one wipe. i havent had much cm since this all , but what i have had has been clear.

I had pink spotting more than a couple of times between weeks 5 and 7. I had an ultrasound at 7.5 weeks, saw a healthy embryo, good heartbeat, measuring right on track. I'm now at 11 weeks and everything seems to be fine. I think it's pretty common to have some spotting early on, especially after sex, a strenuous bowel movement, etc. It is, of course, very worrying when it's happening, but there are lots of non-serious reasons why it might happen!

thanks everyone! no more spotting today, and i got a nice big fat + pg test this afternoon! (i hadnt taken one since friday, and that one was light since i was only 11-12 dpo). having some more pg symptoms too. woohoo.

yup, sounds like implantation bleeding which is pretty common.

i've read about half of all women bleed a little in the first trimester. i bled with my son and he was okay

thanks guys! so far ive had that little tinge every night. its really, really light- and happens at the same time. i'm not terribly worried about it now though. i go in tomorrow to take my pg test at the drs office (so im officially pregnant @@), and then i should be able to start looking for a midwife. im excited!
