DS is officially enrolled!

So after many visits to schools and going back and forth between homeschooling and not...we finally fell in love with the Montessori school in Watertown. It IS 25 miles one way and we had to start with the 3 day program(we can't seem to get DS to poop on the potty..peeing is fine though) so the school is going to work with us for the "normalization" period of 8 weeks and see if it will happen
My worry of course is the cost. Apparently it is cheaper than some but we are one income military and it kinda hurt our pocket...plus gas...uggh
I do have to say that I feel SO confident about our decision to send DS here. It feels right YKWIM?
I hope we get to stay here for the next 3 years so he can do the full 3 years at this school before transferring!!
He is advanced in a lot of things(even the teacher during our tour was mentioning this..I just thought he was average...guess we aren't aorund a lot of children..lol) She said she thought he would flourish in this environment since he wouldn't be limited as he would in the other schools I looked at...
I just wanted to share my excitement and hear others good expreiences with M schooling!

We enrolled DS in a Montessori for this year too. He starts half-days 4 days a week on Sep 8. He just turned two, but like you I had a strong feeling that this was an important step for him this year and it feels right. Of course once he actually starts we'll see! Just wanted to offer my congrats to you! best wishes for a great year.
