I don't know if it's bad. But I used to use it a long time ago. When I first moved away from home on my own. I used it because it's what my mom used. Then I switched to All Free and Clear. It is quite a bit cheaper than Tide and seemed to work just as well.
I can't even sleep on sheets that were once washed in Tide at my MiL's house. I have to put down a barrier over the mattress pad that once TOUCHED those sheets and then put on my own safe sheets or sleeping bags.
Tide is vicious, even the "free" variety.
I'm currently dealing with dermatitis, asthma, and eczema because I'm visiting family and they use Tide Free. (At least it's the "free", otherwise the asthma would be uncontrollable and accompanied by a nasty migraine.)
My family has never had a reaction to the Tide Free. Regular Tide or anything scented drives me batty. Not sneezing, more like headaches. We recently started CD, though, so we switched to soapnuts. We're using the soapnut liquid for laundry, hand soap, body soap, shampoo (rinse with vinegar), and such. They're supposed to be good for excema/psoriasis. We'll see!
I know it's not good for diaper or babies skin in general, but what about adult skin?
Has anyone had an allergic reaction to this detergent?
I had a bad reaction in a very private area. It hurt! I went to the Dr and was tested for all sorts of vaginal infections. All clear. Nope, it was the Tide.
