Ok today i cried. Just felt this overwhelming sense of sadness. Anone else hormonal???
Nothing was wrong...in fact my hubby was watching the little ones and i just got up from a nap.

I am due the 12. I have a midwife appointment the 13. (if I make it until then)

HOnest opinion. Would you get your membranes stripped? I am just feeling that this baby is big and might be hard to push out if I let it get any bigger inside of me.

First of all mama, it's so hard when your feeling like that.

Second, fat is squishy, a chubbier babe shouldn't be especially harder to push out. As for having your membranes stripped, are you having any ctx yet?

I had my membranes stripped with my last because I had horrible prodermal labor and was already 4 cm dialated. I had my babe that night.

Ok so this is so weird. I was having contractions here there everywhere up until this last week. ...now nada. My babies are usually big the last one was almost 9 lbs. They have big heads about 14 1/2!!

I just gained another lb. oh joy

I wouldn't have them stripped that's just me.. I don't like anyone messing w/ me down there lol (err dh is ok lol) last baby came 4 days after edd so I was going a bit nuts, but I did do all the regular inducing things.. pineapple spicy food, etc.

I had mine stripped when dd was 8 days overdue -- I went into labor the next morning. My mw was very gentle (more of a cervical stretching) and it didn't hurt. I'm due this Thursday with a prenatal scheduled for Friday but even though I feel exceptionally full of babe I don't think I'll ask her to do anything until another week passes.

I share your due date. I went in today. I would have HAPPILY had them stripped, but they don't even check me until at least 42 weeks and only strip when there is a problem.

I feel your pain. If you want to, I say go for it!

Right now I say I wouldn't do it, but then again I've never gone past my EDD.

I'm right there with you with the hormones. This week I'm more b#$%@y than weepy. Last week I cried because dh broke a mug I loved (I've had it since I was 12 - my best friend gave it to me). I just don't have the energy to take the lo's out, but then they drive me nuts around the house. My patience is VERY thin.

It is so uncomfortable to carry a large baby. My ds was 3 days over my edd and he was 10.2

FWIW, it wasn't any harder pushing him out than it was my 8.12 baby.

I had my membranes stripped with ds after I had already been having contractions....it's very uncomfortable/painful. I wouldn't do it just yet.
