corduroy fabric for dipes?

I have lots of corduroy given to me, and I'm wondering if anyone has used it for diapering? It doesn't seem super absorbent, but could I be wrong?I could use it as a back layer....Any thoughts or experience?

As long as it's 100% cotton, it will absorb. Corduroy is ver absorbant. Ever had wet pants legs? Know how heavy they get? That's because they are full of water :
I would use it as a back layer, just like you can use denim. Not very soft for the inside, though.

Corduroy makes an adorable outer for a fitted. I've never thought to try it in a soaker layer. It feels too heavy to me to use as an inner.
