I moved in January and did not realize my wood bowl was unprotected - in a box - in the basement - which has recently gotten very moist and yucky.
I found my favorite wood bowl - solid wood, not sectioned, absolutely covered in mold.
Most of it washed off, since I kept it well oiled, but there is one spot that is a knot and it has a deep little nook I can't get all the way into, and there are some black spots into the edge. I sprayed it with bac-out last night and let it rest with that on it... what else can I do to get it clean clean? Should I sand it down and start over with conditioning? What about the knot? I'm so worried I won't be able to get all the crud out of it.
