We're just all at our wits end with the arguing, defiance, muttering, lying, etc... ugh! please tell me it's not preteen attitudes starting????:

Yes it could be! I went through it with my now 13 yr old. Still go through it sometimes.

We're a Waldorf family and I'd agree its the 9yr change, but don't worry about not being ready for it - this is just a window - a peak into the possibilities of teen years. It will pass. We've gone through it and had fun practicing and took the opportunity to begin laying the foundation for what's to come, cuz our boy is challenging!

i have 10 yr old twin boys. let me tell you , i was not prepared for 9 yr old boys. my mantra "this too shall pass"
