ob-gyn/midwife & ped needed in Westfield, MA area

We just moved to Westfield, MA and I'm trying to find a pediatrician for my 2 daughters and an ob/gyn for me. I'm not pregnant, but would like to be in the next few years. It would be nice if I could start now with an ob-gyn or midwife and then stay with him or her for the pregnancy.

Anyone out there have any recommendations? I vaccinate, although we delayed some, breastfeed, drug-free childbirth...

I'd love to hear from anyone in the area!

I'd recommend Midwifery Care of Holyoke. They have offices in Holyoke and Easthampton. (413) 535-4700

Not sure about peds close to Westfield as mine is in CT.

My son sees Dr Lyons at Northampton Pediatrics and I'm very happy with him.

I just started seeing the midwifes at Cooley Dickinson in Northampton as well and like them. I'm hoping to be PG soon and plan to stay with them.

Hi! Welcome to Westfield! I live in Westfield and I really like Dr. O'Leary at Hampden county Physicians Assoc. He was very open to delaying vax, very easy to talk to, he is pretty popular so you have to make appts pretty far ahead. Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions. How old are your girls? I have a 3.5 yo and a 11 mo. both girls.

Thanks! That's the second recommendation of Dr. O'Leary that I have received. I think I'll give him a call. My girls are 5 years and 20 months. My 5 year old is about to start Kindergarten.

I'm having a harder time getting a Gyn exam appt for myself! I called Baystate OB/Gyn and the Midwife practice associated with them. I can get in at the end of October with a male and January with a female! I need my annual exam, and I'm having "an issue", not to give TMI, so I can't wait that long. I haven't called Midwifery Care of Holyoke or the midwives at Cooley Dick, I just tried and they are closed for the day. I will try them tomorrow.

Have you heard of Dr. Natalie Wright, on Elm St in Westfield? I don't know anything about her, other than the fact that she's Board Certified and covered by my insurance.
