Your favorite use for hemp fleece?

I'm not often able to afford the more expensive fabrics but I got a great deal on the trading post here for some hemp fleece and hemp terry.
I know I can use it for pretty much everything, but what's your favorite use? I hate to use it for a layer in a fitted or something as it's such nice fabric, I want it to be seen, but that is kind of silly.
Thanks!

Hemp fabrics can get a little rough/stiff over time. I usually prefer them as a hidden layer, an outer layer (away from baby) or a soaker. Just my opinion though.

Ah ok, I didn't know that-it feels so nice right now. Thanks!

I made several hemp fleece diapers with the fleece side out when I was first learning to make diapers. The were fine for a while, but they got a bit rougher than I like to have next to my baby's skin. I'm a huge fan of cotton flannel and bamboo/cotton fleece next to baby. Much softer. The hemp is nice as a hidden layer.

Hemp fleece makes a lovely absorbant soaker fabric.

Hemp fleece is my preference for nighttime pocket inserts. It locks moisture away better than anything I've ever come across. If I were to use a different fabric, I'd need to have twice the bulk to get the job done. The cons are that it takes a few hot washes to reach its full absorbency and it's prone to get stinky and need stripped more often than other absorbent fabrics.

Do you turn the fuzzy side out or in when using it as an insert?

The kind I have has fuzzy on both sides, so I don't have much of a choice. If I had the fuzzy/flat kind you are talking about, my personal preference would be to put fuzzy side out because I think all the little "tendrils" would help to soak up the moisture faster. However, I've seen it done both ways and I think either is probably perfectly acceptable.

3-4 works well for my super soaker.

I have always gone by the rule of only using 2 layers of hemp fleece anywhere in a diaper. It is my fabric of choice for diaper making. I use two layers for the body, then make 2 soakers of 2 layers each. I then sew just the top edge of the soakers to the body so that they may fly open and get fully washed/rinsed. I have had no problems with stink or stiffness. The more you wash hemp fleece, IME the softer and more pliable it gets. Definitely a super absorbant fabric.
