CLC and sells Similac?!

So I was talking to my mom today (breastfeeding advocate and pediatrician). She tells me there is a new rep that comes by for Similac, you know they frequent the pediatricians offices and give out samples ..anyways...so this rep tells my mom straight off the bat that she's a Certified Lactation Counselor! (apparently she heard how pro-bf my mom is)..at this point my mom looks at her totally confused and asks why does she sell formula then?
She said it's for "personal reasons" but again stresses that she is also a CLC....I just can't seem to wrap my head around that one?

yah, they used to call those baby nurses. formula companies train these woman and "certify" them to help moms with BF, armed with missinfo and formula..helpful, huh?
