Fabric help

What fabric do you use for the inside of pocket diapers--one which wicks the wetness away from the baby's skin?

Would bamboo/cotton fleece work for this purpose?

Thanks!!!

I think most people use microfleece. I don't know enough about bamboo/cotton to say yes or no =)

Both bamboo and cotton fleece are absorbent fabrics, so they would feel wet on the surface. For a wicking fabric, microfleece and suedecloth are the most common. It's also possible to use crushed panne velour (all polyester), minky or athletic wicking fabric.

to clarify about fleece/microfleece...fleece comes in several weights. Microfleece is thin and thus wicks through...thicker fleeces are absorbant but stay wet (in the case of hemp/bamboo) or else are a barrier/cover (if polyester). Fleeces are really soft, which is nice, but IME they will get a little pilly with time...
If you want a stay-dry, try microfleece or suedecloth. If you want a feels-mostly-dry-but-technically-isn't then consider velour! The fuzz is tall enough to basically feel dry, even when it isn't.
