Just wanted to drop a line to let you know Anna Maeve arrived on 8-8-08 at 12:55 p.m. My labor was only about 2 hours long with her being born at the hospital after only 20 minutes of arrival. No iv or hep lock (no time) no interventions and honestly the labor only really hurt during contractions for an hour with a little yelling during the last 15 minutes. I was not even hoarse, lol. I pushed her out with 2 pushes and out she came. She did have the cord wrapped around her neck 2xs but it was not a problem. The hospital was very busy and we had our nurse but that was about it. After baby was born, we were left alone to bond for about an hour. They actually didnt even have any clean rooms ready for a mom in labor. My water broke as I got up to the maternity floor and it was all down hill from there. I am so glad it is over and to not be pregnant any more. Nursing is going great (well I am sore) and she is a beautiful little baby. 9 days before her actual due date she was 6.8 pounds and 18 inches long, however today at her well baby check up she was an amazing 19.5 inches long, lol. I guess she was a little scrunched up and has had time to stretch out. Oh and dh and I were very surprised that we have another girl as we were convinced that it was a boy! However all the kids were thrilled to find out their guess was correct that it was a girl.
