And my boss is already like "so when are you going to come back?"

Sheesh! I had told her January 2nd earlier in the year, which seemed fine then but now that I really haven't been at work much I think she's freaking out! I'm already super stressed and now this!

I think I need a new job. I don't even want to think about this now, though :.

Ugh! I would stick to your guns! You don't want to go back too soon and miss all the snuggly baby moments! Hope you get it figured out!

uggh I can't stand when people put the pressure on like that. We have a different kind at my work. I'm not sure if I'll be furloughed or not. Our industry is going through a rough time, so I'm not sure if I'll have a job to go back to or not.

maybe you can get a raise out of it. they see now how much you are missed. I was hoping for that with my job when I left to have DD. Instead I decided to quit and be a SAHM. ;-) way better. we are just completely frugal now.

Yeah my boss is pissing me off with this too. She continually asks me how long I am taking in front of the other employees. She needs to write it down if she can't "remember." We are a very small organization and I understand the impact, but I am not going to change the time of my leave just because she keeps asking....

I am self employed and my "partner" (my dh) asks me when I am coming back all the time too. I have told him many, many times when I plan on coming back and he still seems shocked. And I am only taking 2 months off TOTAL! Of course I bring baby to work with me so that is nice...if I couldn't I would take a lot more time off.

I would write it down for them in a letter, make it official. Sometimes bosses are just not thinking and can't remember details like that.

That's funny because my boss actually does write it down!!! I think that she thinks if she keeps on asking me I'll change my mind. The truth is maybe I will feel like coming back earlier but I really don't want to commit to anything and then have her harassing me . . . I never even thought about that raise thing either . . . I mean, I am sooooo tempted to look for a new job in december, but the problem is my work has been pretty flexible about school and it's RIGHT by my house. I doubt I'd get that at a brand new job.

Anyway, I'm just really going to try not to worry about it! I'm on maternity leave now and the baby will be here soon . . . I made cookies yesterday for the first time in MONTHS and they were so freaking good.
