My one-month old weighs 13 pounds

Is this normal, lol? Seriously. DD is such a skinny mini- Barely 24 pounds at 2 years old. She was 6 lbs 10 oz at birth.

Gavin was 8 lbs 6 oz at birth and is 13 lbs at one month!!! My friend has a 7 month old who looks very healthy and hes 15.5 pounds!!!!

Is he destined to be a huge baby??? Maybe he will level off. I am not really concerned, but I find it funny the drastic difference between my two kiddos.

How much do your babes weigh at 1 month?

My daughter was 8lbs 5oz at birth and is now 11lbs 9oz

well he might indeed just be a big baby. A dear friend had a little one that was more than 25lbs in the first 6 months... now at almost 2 years, he's still the same weight - which looks normal on a toddler body. He was a big, super cute baby.

We are probably very close to the same size at 3 weeks, but we started out at 10lbs!

Sounds perfectly normal to me! That's only about a lb. a week. He's probably just going to be a big guy. My DD2 was up to 24lbs. by 5 mos. old and just the cutest little chub! Now at 2yrs. old she only weighs a lb. or two more and is just the right size.

My little guy is about 14lbs. and just turned a month old 2 days ago but like xixstar my little guy started out at 10lbs.

4.5 lbs in one month? Go baby go! That's fantastic! (Also, Go Mama go! You gotta be a nursing champ to get those results!)

My son had drastic weight gain like that starting out too. He kept it up till about 9 months, and then leveled off, and now (at 16.5 months) he's almost a skinny little kid.

My first was 10lbs at brith and was 16 lbs at 1 month...she is now 4 and weighs only 30 lbs...so she plained off at about 1 year old.

Olive was 8lbs 5 oz at birth and 3 weeks later is now 13 lbs, chalk it up to the good milk and genes...I expect her to plain off too though.

Aybra is only about 8-9# Im going to weigh her tonight.. but that sounds normal for a normal baby

henry was 10 lb. 3 oz. before he hit 1 mo. (8lb 7 oz at birth)

maya also had the rapid growth in the early months that leveled off. i think its normal especially for bf babies!

DD is such a peanut, she weighs 9 pounds .6 ounces at 4 weeks. I bow to you Mama's that pushed out 10 pounders DD was 7 pounds 2.6 ounces and let me tell you, I FELT EVERY LAST OUNCE!

eh...the fat squished! It was his 15" head that I felt every last INCH of!

Yep...my 16" first baby was what really got me....I think she was a hospital record especially for a natural vaginal birth.

My babe was 7lb 2oz at birth and was 10 lb 4 oz at 4 weeks... she didn't get much longer either She apparently likes a lot of cream in her breastmilk!

Oh yes. My DD was 7 lbs, 4 oz, and I thought I was going to burst in half.

Then, last month, there was Nathan, at 7 lbs, 8 oz. If I had not been at home, lunged over the side of the bathtub and pushing hard in a semi-squat, he'd have had shoulder dystocia, because for me, that's a BIG baby!!! (As it was, he didn't turn and his shoulder was momentarily hung up before I shifted slightly to allow the MW to maneuver him out of there!) And that is not even factoring in his 14" head!!

He was 9 lbs, 12 oz at 5 weeks.

BODIE WAS 6#14OZ, DROPPED TO 6#2OZ, AND AT 1 MONTH HE IS ONLY 7#12OZ, sorry bout the caps. iguess all my kiddos were small except kaleb and i only nursed for 2 weeks. i nurse this guy ALL the tim, why is he so much smaller then all your babies?

DD was 8.7 at birth and 12.7 at a month, admittedly she was 22 inches long at birth so she needed the weight - I can't wait to see what she weighs next week at her 2 month visit!

dd didn't gain quite as fast, but ds was ridiculous. He was 8lb 10 oz. At one month he was 12 lb, at 2 mo he was 15 lbs, and at 3 he was 19.5 lb. But...he slowed down, too. Now, at 15 months, he's 22.5 . Those first few months, though, he grew so fast I felt like I couldn't get to know him...he changed SO rapidly!

My son was 8 lbs 1 oz at birth by one month he was 11 pounds and THREE inches Longer.......... my DD was also breatsfed and has been small all her life. I guess my boy will be a big guy and her dainty
