Last day of work

So today was my last day of work before maternity leave and I am sooooo happy! My job is demanding and stressful and I kept having these attacks of anxiety about how I was going to tie up all the loose ends and hand off my projects before my leave. Well everything went smoothly and they even had a baby shower for me and another guy in the office who has a new baby at home . I think what I'm looking forward to the most is napping during the day -- I so need that right now what with all the broken sleep at night.

It sucks that my leave is only 10 weeks but it still feels like a great burden has been lifted, to finally be away from work. Now I'm just waiting for my little girl to get here .

Me too! My last day was yesterday. I will continue to work from home for the rest of the week and actually start my leave next week (on my due date). I plan to return after 6 to 8 weeks.

It is a relief not to have to do the commute every day. That's actually the most stressful part of my job.

Friday's my last day. We're going to the local yacht club for a nice lunch/ send off. Still no word that I have a job to come back to, but I'm happy either way. Our oldest starts kindergarten Monday so it will still be an exciting week all around!!!

Yippee-what a nice feeling. Enjoy the lull between 1 and 2 kids! I love the idea of working up to a due date, but I don't know how I'd accomplish it! I felt really mentally slow, even a month ago. I swear someone would have to re-do all the work I was doing...Luckily I teach, so I've been off since the end of June.

Congrats on the last day. Friday, August 1 was my last day and I ended up going into labor that Sunday. I too are taking 10 weeks but I may just do 8 and get back to work to save some money for the holiday season. Enjoy the time off and rest up!
