Sorry, I didn't check my email yesterday, or the website. Today is pretty yucky, huh? I'm guessing a playdate at the park is out of the question? What about the rest of the week?
What indoor things are there to do around here?

Well, the weather is really a one big mess, but friday might be a nice day.So let's plan a meet up for friday , at 3 or 4pm?? If it comes to indoor places kids friendly , besides library, I don't know any.Maybe Gwen has some ideas??

We'll try to make it Friday too! 3:30-4 is good for us.

Directions...
Go down 109 to the end & make a right on to Main Street/Montauk Highway - 27A (going west).

Go almost 1 mile (you'll pass a few shopping centers - aaahhhhh suburbia!). Look for a Hess Station on the right & make a left on to Ventian Blvd. There's a little green sign, but it's hard to see.

Follow Venetian Blvd all the way to the end & make a left into the park.

We meet at the playground on the right, by the bathrooms & football field.

Don't think we'll be seeing much of y'all for the next few weeks with all the Jewish holidays coming up and dd's preschool schedule.

Unless someone wants to have a playdate (a.m.) out by us (Cedarhurst) or nearby? (Carrie lives in Valley Stream, there's another Carrie in Long Beach, etc.)!

Nicole...I'd love to meet you in Cedarhurst some day soon. Our schedule is more flexible now that the summer is over. Give me a few choices of where and when might be good for you, and we'll try to set a date--btw--I'm in Baldwin (or are there 3 Carries here?).

It was a nice day at Venetian Shores Park on Friday, but it's a really long drive for me out to Lindenhurst, so I can't do it too often--especially not with the Friday traffic, which was pretty bad in both directions.

Also--suzukibeane, I would gladly meet up with you at the Children's museum one day...it's been several months since our last visit, and Audrey is older now and I think she'd enjoy it more...

We'll try to make it. We have to make the dreaded trip to the DMV tomorrow... so we'll see how our day looks after that. I'm hoping to get to Trader Joe's as well...a trip to the park sounds like a lot of fun, though!

I am new to the board and would like to introduce myself. I am Victoria, mom to Annalise (21 months) and Avery (4 weeks). I read the whole LI thread and see you have playdates. I hope to meet some of you soon. I actually see that I know Bethany already through other boards and I met her briefly the other day. I am in the process of looking for a new ped. and emailed Jared's mom. If anyone can recommend someone in the area, please email me.

If you don't end up going to the park, we may try to go to the beach instead. Arjun had a great time digging in the sand there on Monday, so we might go back if you can't meet up today. Maybe tomorrow would be better for you? Let me know what you decide!

edit: Arjun just fell asleep at 1:15, so we won't be there by 3pm to meet you if you go. It might be more like 4. So maybe tomorrow would be better for us too...
