I use 7th generation brand laundry and dish detergents (so 3 products: laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid for hand washing plus powder for the dishwasher.) I use distilled white vinegar in the "jet dry" compartment of the dishwasher.
does the vinager help them dry?

Hi!
I've switched to soapnuts for laundry. You can also use them in the dishwasher with vinegar in the Jet Dry compartment. Incidently, I don't think the Jet Dry or vinegar helps the dishes dry, it's more of a rinse aid. To condition the rinse water to leave fewer spots as the dishes dry.
