How are you planning to birth? - Page 3

Planning on a homebirth as well. Our first one! We tried with our 3rd pregnancy but we lost the baby. Then we tried with the last pregnancy, but it was twins, so that was out, too. :

The plan right now is for an unmedicated VBAC in a hospital. I am trying to convince DH to give the freestanding birth center a try, however. I am hoping that our meeting with the midwife will calm him a bit.

love this site, we are also planning to homebirth with this one, and it's our first.

At this point, planning on an unmedicated hospital birth with the same midwife I used (and loved) last time. I'm going to at least look into my homebirth options, since that's always been my preference – I just wish Illinois didn't make it so hard and have so few providers who will attend them, and I wish we had birth center options.
As much as I want a home birth, I'm leaning toward the same midwife (who only attends in a hospital) just because I already have a relationship with her and love her so much. But if that's the case, I'll be a little sad to never have my home birth, since this will most likely be our last child.

At home with a midwife yet to be determined. Our FS birthcenter closed and I don't want to go to the hospital. When do we start interviewing MWs? I'm still getting used to the idea of being pregnant at all! (just found out yesterday, and don't feel pg) Luckily there's a great small birth community here.

VBAC in a hospital with ob and a doula. We have no birth centers, etc here, and I'm not comfortable with the idea of having a home birth after c-section, at least for now.

A hospital birth, at our small-town hospital, five minutes through cornfields from my house. They're pretty laid back about the things that matter. I had a hospital birth with a CNM last time, but she's retired - she was incredible, and I'm pretty sure she saved me from a C-section.

I'm sort of wishing I could nag one of my doctor-friends into hanging out for a homebirth, though.
