I'm looking for the most comprehensive, on all aspects of each subject, books about all aspects of self sustainable living. several of the areas of interest are:

plant identification, uses (incl. medicinal), storage (incl building root cellar)/ preservation, organic growing and pest control

animal raising (pigs, goat, sheep, bees, chicken...) and disease identification & control

DIY medical books incl. dental
making things from scratch like candles, soaps, clothing, snow shoes etc

DIY butchering, cutting, preservation of meats
tanning leather & making things from leather

working with glass

from shearing wool to spinning yarn and weaving

basically all and any you can think of- aspects of living, as much as possible, solely off the land

Carla Emery's Encyclopedia of Country Living.
For plant identification I'd get Petersons guide to Medicinal Plants for your region

Backwoods Home put out some publications in the past not sure if they are still in print.

Storey's Basic Country Skills

I find myself picking it up about once a month to see if there is anything on whatever I'm trying to figure out at the time. Most of the time there is. I really like that most of the idea in there are cheap too.

There is always the Foxfire Series of books. I don't know, I put all my stuff on this topic away years ago so I'm just going off memory now.
