I tried Tide Free, now I'm itchy. Is Cheer Free better?

The problem I have with most detergents is that they give me clogged pores and breakouts. Tide didn't give me any breakouts, but it left me itchy as heck.

I think Tide and Cheer are both made by Proctor and Gamble. Does anyone know if Cheer is better for sensitive skin than Tide?

I can't use Tide or Cheer. If you're sticking with mainstream brands, I have better luck with All F&C.

I can't use either one. I much prefer Charlie's Soap. It's cheaper, too.

I can only use:
Biokleen f & c
Kirkland (Costco) f & c
Charlie's soap

The difference between Cheer Free (which I LOVE) and Tide Free is that TF has an optical brightener in it and CF does not. We can't handle the TF either.

My personal favorite is the melaleuca detergent. It's all natural, super concentrated (you use an eensy weensy bit for a large load), and very cost efficient.

All Free and Clear is one that I can use.

Stopped using Melaleuca after 5 years, cause I still had to use fabric softener. Sam with all, and wisk, etc etc. I use SoapNuts-economical, easy, they actually treat skin conditions, and they leave your clothes without ANY residue so they are softer than fabric softener will ever get them. www.maggiespureland.com

I have also switched to soapnuts. Previously we had used Tide Free -- smells give me headaches. I even made liquid from the used laundry soapnuts and am using that for shampoo, body wash, bath soak, hand soap, floor cleaner. A few days ago I decided to use up the last of my shampoo/conditioner and body wash so I'd have the bottles for soapnut liquid. My skin was SO dry and itchy (pregnant!) that I finally poured 1/4 cup soapnut liquid in the tub and soaked in it. All better! No more itchy!
