Blue Kool-Aid

Does any one know if they make it any more?
Last summer I found some after an extensive area grocery store search to dye yarn with. Now I wish I'd bought out the store- I can't find it any where and Amazon just has a message about if you want to be notified when it's available, which makes me think it's not being made any more.
I really loved that shade of blue!!!!

They don't make it any more.

I just recently wrote to them looking for both it and the clear kool aid, and they don't make either one any more.

You might be able to find some on ebay though.

I bought Berry Blue Kool-Aid at my grocery store a few weeks ago. Is that the one that you mean? They had it at my local grocery store as well as at Walmart.

snap it up, I wrote to the company asking about it and they told me they don't make it anymore.

Not that it would surprise me for someone to give me the wrong information, but I did get that straight from the manufacturer.

ETA-they lie. You can get the blue in liquid form, and the clear is available in powdered form still. Nice to know the people at corporate know what they're doing.

Darn!

Darn,
that's what I was afraid of.
If someone has access to a packet on hand can you tell me which blue dye it is, maybe I can order some of that.
Thanks!

I will have to check at the grocery store when I'm there next to see if they still have it. I just bought it last month for some silk scarf dyeing. (After the dyeing project, I am still marveling over the fact that I used to drink this stuff as a child!)

I have some Berry Blue right here, and the ingredients are:
Citric Acid, Calcium Phosphate, Maltodextrin, Ascorbic Acid, Artificial and Natural Flavor, Blue 1, Tocopherol (preservative)

So, is "Blue 1" the thing you needed to know? It's "Kool Aid Twists" by the way. Not sure what that means. I guess it's supposedly flavored with strawberry and blueberry. (As if a strawberry or blueberry ever came within 30 miles of that kool-aid factory, LOL!)

I have some of the clear - what do you use it for?

Can't you make blue with a yellow lemondade and green lime-aid (I'm pretty sure I have something that's supposed to be green).

I just like to make kool aid once in a while and I don't want to have the dye in it.

I should read the label, it's probably full of something else I don't want to know about.

OK, I might be a loser but that's fine. I just went to Meijer and bought 70 packets of blue kool-aid. :

Do you ever wonder what the grocery store clerk is thinking when they see you buying that much Kool-Aid? LOL. I'm going to be buying more Berry Blue next time I'm there too. I like how the blue comes out on the silk scarves.

I used to take care of her son when I worked in daycare. She just laughed and said "You must be up to something crafty!"

Would love some blue kool-aid!

I went to a couple more grocery stores around here and there's nothing.
I could paypal and buy some from any one who's interested in selling some.
Here's my blog, you should be able to email me easily from here:

Ew, nope, you'd end up with sick-baby-poo weird color. (Tried that combo on wool)... and, nope, you can't make blue, it's a primary color

I bout 30 packets of it 2 years ago because they discontinued it-- that stuff has a hella shelf life, though!

Oh, yeah. I must have been thinking that blue and yellow make green.
