Charter? Montessori? Waldorf?

So...I already know that I'm not going to send my child to straight public or private school. I want to do some sort of alternative schooling. My *ideal* is to homeschool, but I want to get her on waiting lists, etc, in case hs doesn't work out for one reason or another. These are the three types of schools I can find in my area. HOWEVER! Finding clear-cut responses to what each schools' philosophy is is pretty hard. (Although, the local charter school did do a great job of it.)

So, I'm asking you lovely mamas for your views, opinions, and understanding of these schools. Please tell me in your own words (no links please!) what you think of these schools. Please make them short, like a one paragraph response (I don't have a very long attention span! ). Answer for one, or all three. If you have a bias towards or against one, please note it. TIA!!!

Charter schools vary widely in their philosophies and methods. Without knowing what sort of charter you're talking about, I couldn't tell you a thing about it. My son attends a cyber charter school, which is sort of between homeschooling and public schooling. Legally, he's a public school student and he's subject to all of the same rules as other public school students. Physically, he's at home, and he's able to work at his own pace. It's working very well for us thus far.
