Did my water break? TMI for sure

My water didn't break until well into labor with both my first. Well today I was going pee and after I was done big gush of a few oz of fluid. So either baby kicked my bladder or water broke. How can I tell? No leaking of any fluid or anything. It was a few hrs ago... only reason I care at all is GBS+. No more than normal ctx and no bloody show or anything. I'm leaning towards no but how can I tell???

I was told one way to tell - wear a sanitary pad. If you get more gushing/fluid it will go on the pad. If it's clear and smells sweet it's most likely amniotic fluid. If it's urine it will be yellowish and smell like pee obviously. Haven't tried it myself but hope this helps.

my mw said the water might have white floaters (the vernix) and smell more like fresh blood than urine or water....

call them!

Mine broke with this birth and yes, there were white floaties in it. I say slap on a pad and see what happens. Good luck!

Makes sense on vernix. No leakage or anything so maybe baby's punch or head or something. Really I'm not sure- I feel like I *may* be in early labor but I always have ctx 2-3 min apart... right now they're just strong. I'll know by the morning hopefully!k Thanks a bunch!!!!!!
