Vitamin D overload?

My multi has 1000 iu of D3 plus I just started taking the blue ice fermented cod liver oil which has another 700 iu of vit. d. (doesn't specify a type).

Is this too much? on the vit. bottle it says that the 1000 iu is 250% of the rda, altough I know that can be crap...

Anyone know if this is okay? I also get VERY little sun exposure.

my ND has me on a high dose D supplement of 5000 I.U. because I was tested and severely deficient in it. I take that plus what is in my CLO, although I think the brand I have is only like 50% dv. But altogether right now I'm on 1300% RDV for vit. D. Soon I need to go back and get my levels tested again to see if I should drop that dose down.

So anyway I'd say the amount you're getting is fine since it's much much less than I am taking.

No it is not too much...if you are not geting sun you should probably aim for 3000-4000iu a day for optimal health.(my tf friendly nutritionist told me this was a good number for almost all adults) I take 4000-6000iu in the winter and sunbathe in the summer.

Wow, I guess it's not too much! I can't believe how much is being recommended. Thanks so much for the input!

I haven't researched myself, but Dr. OZ was just saying we need D3.
