Is there a group of mothering mamas around? I've got Freyja, 2yr10m, Adrian 14 (will go to the Waldorf HS). I homebirthed, eat organic, still breastfeeding, am active and outgoing and dream big! I'll probably have to get a full time teaching job, but will always make time for friendships. Please do introduce yourself!

I just moved to San Jose and have a 1 year old girl and a 4 year old boy who goes to a Montessori. Im looking for mommies to play with us! We love parks and the beach. I am a trained homebirth midwife but have taken a long hiatus to have kids. I breastfeed, try to eat organic, love Waldorf (although my son is a true and blue MOontessori kid), and have an open, non-judgemental mind to parenting. I have a cloth diaper making business which I absolutely love! Lets play.

I'm an import to the South Bay too! My husband and I are both Canadian, and we've been here 2.5 years. He works and I stay at home with our little daughter.

I would love to meet more MDC mamas in the area! Sounds like fun!

ALso there is the holistic mom's network, which just started a couple of months ago, they meet the 2nd tuesday of every month in San Jose.

i live in Santa Cruz- over the hill from San Jose.

i have a ds 11 months.

i work just about full time M-Th. i have been taking Fridays off to have a park day with ds. dh and i only have one car so we usually do laundry that day (dh) but i get to take ds out for the afternoon.

i am always up for coffee, picnics, a walk, hanging out in a park... with an AP minded buddy while the kiddos play/enjoy the outdoors.

pm me if any of you want to take a drive over and here and meet up one Friday afternnoon!

Fremont is a bit north of San Jose, but I seem to head south more often than any other direction lately.

My daughter is going to be three months on Saturday so we haven't really felt the need for playing yet. Though I am starting to feel a little cooped up since none of my friends have kids and they all work during the day.

Eblythebrown, I'm currently looking into becoming a midwife. I'm seriously considering applying to the SF state nursing/midwife program. Have you heard anything about it?

Im still here! My 13 month old DD would love to play,and my almost 5 year old son. Lets really try to plan a park playdate y'all.!!!! And Ami, about the midwife program, I just moved here from Colorado,a nd know absolutely nothing about the scene here. I'll look into it though!

Actually, I do know someone who went to the SF state program, and loved it because you can do your internship as a homebirth midwife, which was up her alley. She's practicing in Davis now.
