So DD just turned 3. She's been PL'd about 5 months, but has been having more accidents lately. No big changes. In fact, homelife is getting more settled down now that DS is getting older and can go a little bit between nursings and we can get outside.
Well, last night we came home from the store. I told her she needed to go to the potty, but she wanted to finish setting up some toys she brought in from the car. She was insistant that she finish it, and then had an accident. I told her she needed to go change herself and then finish going on the potty.
She came back out naked, and I put a nightshirt on her and searched around for underwear. DH has these drums, kinda like this, that are out in the living room for DD to play with. One was inverted, and she sat on it. And then she went in it.
I don't even know what to do about that. I mean, what in the world could she be trying to tell me by going in the drum? I told her that tinkles go in the potty and that I was very upset because she may have ruined the drum that DH loves so much and wanted to share with her. I took her back into the potty and then took all the drums out of the living room.
I always thought I'd be good at figuring out what my kids were trying to tell me by their behavior, but I'm clueless. I've heard that little boys do this. It just took me by surprise.
