Any TTC UC'ers out there? - Page 2

We are ttc#3 which will be a UC.

I good hospital birth and one semi crummy hospital birth were enough.

My kids are almost 3yrs apart. My son was born in May 06 and my daughter then turned 3 in Aug 06. It's a good gap but then it has the cons.. they fight alot: more so my 5yr old she won't leave the 2yr old alone she is constantly in his face and bothering him. My daughter finally Pt'd 3months after she turned 3 also so i only had 1 in diapers after she Pt'd totally in 1day with no accidents.

DD is 5-1/2 months old. We aren't doing anything to prevent, but I'm not ovulating due to my very strong BFing hormones. I've always had very intense hormones, so it doesn't surprise me that I'm in Lactation Amenorrhea Land.

But DD is a really laid-back baby (honestly, she rarely cries to eat, I have to use my mommy-sense instead). Now would be a great time to have another since she's so laid-back and not very time-intensive. I have to very consciously attachment parent because she doesn't demand it at all. Not that I'd start neglecting her when a new one comes along- it just wouldn't be a big strain on me. She's not a high-needs child.

Anyway, point is: it would be great to be pregnant now, I'm just not ovulating.

So I'm kind of TTC, but not actively since it wouldn't matter because there's nothing to fertilize!

We are. We stopped using BC in June and are just waiting to see what happens. I have been studying up on Natural Childbirth for about a year now and know for sure I want a UC. I am so excited. :

We aren't exactly TTC because like a PP, there's just nothing going on! So we're not avoiding either. Mind you DS2 is barely 4 months old. But we'd like another sooner than later. So I think I'll pick up some Vitex to get things going.

Last time DS1 was 8 months old and I kick started things by taking a couple old BCP...not the greatest idea but it worked lol!


IMO I'll only ever have UC's from now on, but DH (for some odd undefined reason) still wants to have a midwife. He knows better than to argue the fact, but has also made his feelings known.

OT: How does Vitex affect breastfeeding? I'm just curious.

Just a little bump! How are you TTC mamas doing? Where are you at in your cycle? I'm 9 or 10 days past ovulation (I think, don't temp) and feeling hopeful and well! :

I've read conflicting things on Vitex and breastfeeding, somehow I suspect that a drop in milk is from AF starting up, not from Vitex specifically.
I've been on it for 4 days now and haven't noticed a difference. Mind you baby is having a growth spurt and has been feeding up to 9x/day (compared to 6x regularly) so that's been helping keep my supply up!

I've also read a lot that a minimum of 3 months on it is best, which would be perfect timing because ideally we'd like to get pg in December. But we wouldn't mind sooner either! Just works best with summertime work around the farm to have a fall baby.

Well, I think my body just gave me a warning shot - no period but it was trying really hard to show up. But I've been freaking out at the thought of another little one. DS, while not colicky like dd, is just as demanding when it comes to holding and interaction, and though he sleeps well, he doesn't need much sleep. So with these two being the way they are, I'm not going to ttc for a few years. We'll start revisiting the idea of more kids when ds is around two or so. I'm totally relishing my memories of pregnancy and birth with ds but I don't think it's meant to be for a while.

June 4 it seems, though my dds were born at 42+5 and 41+4 so sometime in June would be nice! :
