Back on the forum after a long time away

Hi ladies,

I haven't been here in over a year, I'd guess, but my heart is still here.
DH and I have moved to a second foreign country now, and are headed back to the US in about 2 months... I was hoping to have our UC here, but it looks like that won't happen--we're not even taking home a little 'souvenir' like my friends took from Costa Rica (their conceived baby!)

We had planned to TTC last summer, when I had lost all of the extra weight I'd carried for YEARS (seriously, I think I completely skipped the clothing sizes 6 and 8 when I was in my early teens!), but my cycles were all crazy because of emergency family trips back to the US and all of the stress. Then I gained back about 25 lbs. But I'm working hard now, DH says "We're on the War Path!" to lose the weight. It's our goal (he's losing too) to be back down to ideal weights by October at the latest. But to be a LOT closer before we go to the US in September. If I lose 2 lbs. a week until we return, I'll only be 6 lbs. up from my lowest 'ever' weight. That's exciting! (And just in time for DH's birthday... hmmm... maybe we can TTC then, huh?!)

All that to say, I'm here, I hope that you're able to have baby success soon, and look forward to being back 'in touch' with this group in the months to come!

I'm still here

Finally made the jump to seek medical assistance... we've been ttc for a little over 3 years.

Hey, mama. I have technically "graduated" from this thread (I was the one who started it two years ago!), but I just wanted to wish you well on your journey! 3 years is a long time, and that must be difficult for you and your family. What sort of "assistance" do you plan on trying first?

Hi can I sorta join?

I'm a long term lurker in the uc forum and am very drawn to uc.

Now that I'm ttc I'm thinking of getting an independant midwife. I definilty want some support from the right midwife for antenal and post partum care. I can decided nearer (at?) the time whether I want to UC.

On thing that has changed for me is that dh is now not very mobile so wouldn't be able to help with anything phsycial like birth pool and he wants someone else to be there.

so anyway uc is still an option for me and one I would want to be prepared for a uc as the nearest idependat midwife are 1 hour + away.

good luck to all of us!

Hey can I join you ladies?

I had an amazing UC with my youngest who is now 18m and I am starting to feel the baby fever getting stronger and stronger! So I'm thinking that I'm/we are going to start trying for baby #3 this month & then hopefully for UC #2
I'm a little worried about not having any success though as I'm having 36-46 day cycles at the moment...

to all!
