I. am. so. tired! DS (almost 2.5y/o) is giving up naps. And this is a time when I really need to nap! I am so tired. *sigh*

What is a tired preggo mama to do?

DD1 gave up her naps right after DD2 was born. It was a nightmare!

Oh no! That would be my worst nightmare. Sorry you're having to deal with this mama.

It will probably happen to me soon too. DD is starting at a nursery two afternoons a week right before I'm due and it's usually when she naps. I'm worried that it's going to totally screw up her sleep patterns *right* when I need her to nap the most. Fingers crossed but I'm preparing myself for the worst.

Both of my boys had given up naps by 2. It happened to coincide with the beginning of my 3rd trimester when DS1 gave up his nap. I'm so sorry!!!

Mine is a little younger but she is definitely acting out right now. She can tell that we are under stress and understands just enough about what "new baby" means to be all wound up about it. It's hard to be patient with her but I know she's just picking up on the vibes from everyone else.

"Quiet Time" is your new best friend... break out the puzzles, books, and coloring!

Mine is giving them up too. Ugh, I was hoping he'd be napping for a while still, but nope. On the + side, it means he goes to bed 2 hours earlier.

DS#3 is doing the same thing....all my other children r 5 years apart...so off to school they went when i had a new baby...mama got to go back to sleep w/ new baby...well looks like i wont be able to do that any more. Unless i lock all the doors and put in a movie for DS.

My son turned three in July and he has given up naps ever since. I was just complaining about this today!!

I'm so sorry! My dd stopped napping a month before I had my boys. Yeah, it sucked. I have a feeling my boys are going to be stopping soon, too (since they are *supposed* to be napping right now, argh). Hang in there. If he's agreeable to "quiet time" jump on that!
