diaper cover & ME (Mother Ease) question

I am making some pul covers and would like to bind them in something thinner than the FOE. I have some ME covers and really like that they will fit over prefolds but are trim in construction (ie - no bulky seams or edges).

So, what/where do I buy something like the stuff that is sewn on like FOE on the ME covers? It really looks like women's panty hose but doesn't seem like it would unravel/fray/snag like panty hose do.

Ideas?!? Pretty Please!?!

TIA,
Rebecca

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I looked up some motherease, and I can't really tell what it's binded around the edges with. They do make fold over elastic in different widths. Sorry I can't help more. Maybe if I saw a better picture of a motherease diaper cover, I could help more.

I use ME OS

What does "FOE" mean? I have airflow covers and I am guessing you are wanting to know about the bias tape used around the cover. I do not know that you can buy it from a fabric store, i have not seen a material like that there myself, but who knows. I am positive that it is just run of the mill polyester. I figure they use that material as it will not wic the moisture like other materials would. You could make your own bias tape from an old curtain or a scarf, as long as they are 100% polyester. You can buy a bias tape maker to make the job easier. I am actually doing this myself for some diy bedwetter pants for one of my children. I hope this helps.

FOE = fold ever elastic It's kind of like bias tape but it's actually elastic and you can sew it all around the diaper and make it so that it gathers in the legs and waste of the diaper. (Or cover.)

Thanks guys for trying to help. I have not been on the internet for a little while. I think that I have figured out that it is really light weight tricot. I can only find it at a few places that sell mostly wholesale but do a little retail. I just got to figure out is 40 denier or 20 denier is lighter weight.

I do have the regular FOE but I was wanting to figure this out because it makes super trim covers.

Thanks,
Rebecca
