How many mama pads from each yard?

Sorry for the cross - post! It appears that this is the right place and will react the most audience :0)

Hello mamas!

I have been searching for the past hour and then some to no luck.

Do any of you know how many I can expect from each yard? That way I know how much fabric and which fabric to order...

Thanks so much!

I get 8 from a yard. I do stuffable pads that I made the pattern for, so there's a full flat top, and then overlapping flaps on the bottom. It's a square-ish shape with rounded edges - I traced the lid of a sandwich sized gladware container. The bottom pieces are about 2/3's the size of the top.

I haven't made any "stuffers" yet, because I only use them for backup for my diva cup. But I like having the option, and also the overlap from the flaps adds an extra layer.

Does that help?

Generally, I buy flannel from the remnant section - anything that's at least 1/2 a yard.
