My DS looking all wild and crazy

Whilst I'm losing my mind with my 11 yo DD, my 15 yo DS has been trying to step up and keep out of my crosshairs. LOL

He asked me to help him do his hair for school tomorrow...since he's in high school now, he can wear his hair in more "extreme" styles.

Nice! I finally did something wild with my hair, and I'm still way less cool than that.

Cool! Im about 4 years older than your son and right now my hair is pink and blue and a little purple! Does he ever fan his hawk out?

Fun!

However, I have a feeling that sleep will win out over doing his hair at some point.

How cool! Anything out of the ordinary was banned at our high school. No spikes, no "abnormal" colors, etc.

I know this is obviously NOT the popular opinion here on MDC, by to the OP - I would be mortified if my son walked out of the house looking like that. Sorry to say, a lot of people will feel that way and your son should know that people will judge him based on their first impression.

Awesome!

MarineWife, I love how your ds is looking so very serious

Goodness, looking at you guys who have older kids like that! It's crazy to think that before I know it my boys will grow up, and start growing facial hair, and all of that!! Eeeek!

I can't wait on the one hand, but I'd be happy if it took another 30 years to get there.

And WHO CARES who is "judging", not the problems of the kids, it's the issue of close minded jerks that choose to base their ideas about people and life based on superficial, shallow criteria. Too bad for them.

Yay for kids who have the freedom and self confidence to express themselves!! :::
