learn to crochet free links (with video)?

So, I want to learn how to crochet, and so do my children. We have no experience in this at all!

They are 7, and I am 33

If you have any links ( pref with video ) that would be SO awesome! And also some ideas for some pretty easy things to make for us too would be great and welcomed as well.

Thank you!:

My DSD has been trying to learn past the basics this summer. We have found a number of great videos on youtube.

<wink> <wink> in the same boat myself. fyi i have found it v. hard to find patterns for children's garments that are simple, with simple instructions.

if you have never crocheted anything before - i would advice you to check with at least one person. it made heaven and hell difference for me - the difference in looseness of stitch say between a blanket or a sweater or even a hot mitt. human much more helpful than even video.

if you are seriously considering its something u really want to get into - even for a little while, but u do really explore it fully - then here this book will be v. v. handy - veeeeery helpful for a beginner like me who really knows no one to turn to. not too many patterns for a beginner.

I learned from nexstitch, they have great video tutorials for each type of stitch. I also found this book to be extremely helpful and it has some really great beginner to expert patterns.
