WILD Nurser help!

Okay, my third is about to do me in with nursing. I had cracked bleeding nipples until he was four months old and every nursing time was EXTREMELY painful. Now at six months old he is like nursing a wild man. He takes his free arm and grabs at anything, including my hair. He kicks his legs and he constantly pulls off and then gets right back on. And when he pulls off he sucks and pulls as he does it so it is not that pleasant. I try taking him off but then he just gets mad and screams. I am not sure what to do, but I am at my wits end and there are no other options since he refuses the bottle.
Any advice?

My nursing necklaces have saved my nursing life. I had never heard of them until I posted something similar to you here and someone suggested them. Basically, it is something for your DS to hold and twiddle while he nurses to hold his attention on nursing and distract from everything else. My DH even wears one of them while I am at work and he is bottle feeding DS

A MDC mama makes these - they are great!
