Daily Thread - Saturday the 16th! - Page 2

Babycentre sent me a "congratulations on your newborn" email cause it's my due date. Sniff. Then one of my midwives calls and says she going out of town today and wanted to see if I thought anything was happening. I had to tell her no. Sniff.

I have never been one to really care about my due date. Mine is pretty arbitrary since I don't know my LMP or day of O or really even date of DTD. And I never had an ultrasound. So I'm pretty much going by the time between getting a neg. HPT and the date I got a pos. one. (5 days apart) and counting back.

All I know is I'm really really really pregnant. We're going hiking this afternoon and I mean HIKING. Uphill. and down. Ugh, i really don't want to, but then, on the bright side, I can come home and give myself an enema. Oh joy.

C'mon full moon! Pull a little harder for me!

Oh and Sapphire Chan- I haven't heard of anyone's bellybutton popping this late. That's cool!

More contractions, and a feeling that something is different...so we'll see!
MIL and SIL are tkaing DD for the aft/evening, so we're going to try and get things going. I think a little quiet time might do it-DD and ILs are fairly distracting!

C'mon, full moon!!!!!! Do your work. Ha-just noticed redebeth said the same thing

I do feel different today.. maybe this full moon is doing something although I don't think it's labor which is good because everyone is out of town today!

My dates are just as uncertain as yours, we also chose not to do an u/s. went 10 days over with dd, so I'm peacefully, patiently waiting and not getting any hopes up just because it's the 16th! (Ok, i have a little hope, but I won't allow myself to dwell on it! Oh wait, it just turned the 17th lol)

I just want to crawl into a hole in the ground or a cave or something until this baby is born.

Ugh, I'm feeling so...overinflated right now. I can't catch my breath and I'm just bumming big time today. Pity party, anyone?

My friend was nice enough to call me and tell me I could have - hey, even two weeks left. Umm...thanks?

So, good news!! Blood pressure was FINE (just as I thought, as well as most of you :P), did have to go in at 8 am this morning, was monitored for only 20 minutes!! (less than half the time it takes to DRIVE THERE -_-)... Doctor came in and said he was going to measure the amniotic fluid YAY!! I got to see my baby again!! Oh, goodness he was gorgeous. And PERFECT!! And DP got to see him for the first time, which also was amazing.

He confirmed yet again that it was a boy, and oh boooooy was it haha. First time I didn't believe them and still thought it was possible I may be having a girl... but that's definitely not true now

I totally hated everything about today but the sonogram made it all worth it! It made waiting for baby a little easier, and he's not inducing me next week either.

So let's get labor going, okay?

Full moon tonight, going walking!

EDIT: Before I knew I was getting a sonogram, I saw whilst sitting in my bed waiting for the nurse, a newborn all bright and red, ..tiny head full of hair being wheeled through the hallway all swaddled up and his new daddy following behind, I wanted to cry!! I felt like it was so unfair :<

Anybody else going/already outside for some naked belly time in the moonlight besides me tonight? I'll be sharing some labor vibes at the moon for everyone while I'm out there. So if you get the chance to glance up and bounce off some of your own, maybe we'll help some of the most in need along together. Best wishes tonight and tomorrow moms!
