need book reccomendations

I want to give some books to the kiddos on our Christmas list.(the more reasonable price the better since I have @20 to buy) Ideally 1 title to all or 2 different titles for the families with siblings. Main Age group is under 5.
I do have a couple 7-15 (same family -b15, g8,b7)
Either classics or just your favorites would be awesome. I am just drawing blanks!

(like - My personal favorite Christmas book is Eloise at Christmastime - I am pushing 30 & my mother still reads this - I actually have it on tape from a year we didnt go home!LOL)

Also any tried & true places for great prices on books would be great too!

my personal favourite is "The 24 Days BEfore Christmas" by Madeline L'Engle, but i think it's out of print. it's such a sweet story and even has a homebirth in it.

Inexpensive, fantastic books for the little ones are many of the classic Little Golden Books. They are only $2.99 new! Here is a link: http://www.randomhouse.com/golden/
Our absolute favorite is The Color Kittens, but there are so many great authors and illustrators - too many to list. The other great thing about this series, is their compact size. Very easy to take anywhere.

I know of a place where you can get some high quality, lower priced books. And by the end of September, there will be new activity books released (as well as other great titles).
