Sunday postpartum thread.....

I didnt see one so I thought I would start one Jaffer is still doing very well but is getting more "vocal" with us...he will have to in this household. He is a little champ at eating now thankfully. He still looks so little to me but I think I see his little chicken legs and cheeks getting a little fuller (or maybe it is wishful thinking). A friend took pity on me and took Yasmeen and Tamara out for a walk so I could get some things done around the house. I am so tired and wish I could rest with Jaffer but with two other demanding kids...those days are loooong gone. Poor Tamara is still having trouble waiting for her num nums (her word not mine) but I am trying to accomodate her as much as I can. I am worried about Yasmeen....I just noticed she is saying "I love you" to me at least 30 times a day since the baby is born. I am thinking she is maybe feeling a little left out and insecure so I always answer her back and sometimes tell her that I love her out of the blue too. I hope it isnt something to worry about. How is everyones day going?

Wow pretty quiet today. I am doing well. Last night my milk really started coming in so I am having the leaky milk thing going on now. The little guy seemed to realize the good stuff has arrived and is nursing a lot more now which makes for a tired momma and some sore nipples. My mom is here to help which is a god send! I am also a little worried about my ds. He seems to be doing well and I am trying to give him some personal attention but he is feeling a little left out, I think. Plus it has been so hot here the past few days that we are just hanging around in the house and trying to keep cool. Not too fun for the 4 year old.

So when did/do you all plan on venturing out with the newborn? I am starting to get cabin fever and it has only been 4 days...

I went to my friend's bday celebration when she was 3 days old for an hour. We've been to Target and to the inlaws a few times. Its been super hot here and we had to get into A/C to cool down!

Oh, today I realized it will be at two years before I get to sleep straight through the night without being woken up by someone. I have 3 kids so chances are even if baby "sleeps through the night" at an early age at least one of them will wake me before I'm ready to be woken.

Yesterday (1 wk 4 days old) we went out with the baby for a long period of time. We spent the day at a park for a bday party and the baby did very well except when sitting in his car seat but thankfully as soon as we started going he fell sleep right away, phew!!! I went to my MW's office when he was 5 days old then it rained so we couldn't do much afterward.

Today I have been a couch potato together with the baby. He has spent the whole day in my chest (or daddy's) and watched TV that was nice...

Spent 5 hours at my parents house today for dinner. Had a great time with all the family. DP pissed me off : (what's new?) so I'm in sort of a pissy mood with him. Just as we're getting ready to leave, he decides to open a beer. I told him I was ready to go and he says I'll put in a cup and take it with us. : WTH? I said why would do that and we're leaving. So not only does he have a beer, but he also has a cup of soda in hand as well. Stupid. Thankfully my apartment is 5 minutes away but still. How could you be so dumb? We haven't spoken much to each other in the past 3 hours. I just wish he would get his apartment and get the heck out! Finally last night he tells me that he decided on a place to live thats not too far from me. I just need some space. Really I do. You know what, I'm not going to kid myself, I need to DTD. That's all this is.

Kendall took to the boob once today and nursed for all of 1 minute on each. I plan to call LLL tomorrow and see what I can do about getting someone over here. My mom says he'sjust too use to the formula (Ibelieve you ladies said that as well). Nonetheless, we'll keep trying and I'll hang in there.

Anyone else having pains/cramps in their hip joint? When I move certain ways, my hip cramps up on me. What's up with that? Even stretching is painful. Any recommendations?

On a positive note, my short term disability pay finally came so I am set in terms of money. I plan to return to work at the beginning of October. 8 weeks of pay is great!
