faces baby's bottom when using it as a liner? The soft, fuzzy side, or the shiny "wrong" side? The wrong side seems to wick the liquid through faster and end up drier, in my home tests.

Soft fuzzy side. You could do the slick side, I suppose, but I don't think it would be very comfortable against baby skin. It feels too sticky to me.

Ok, that's kind of what I was thinking-but I just wanted to make sure it wicked properly or it kind of defeats the purpose of using it =)
Thanks!

It wicks great. I use Alova suedecloth for pockets, covers and AIOs frequently and they've always wicked very well for me. Well, for my daughter, not me

Remember that the water test only shows how well the fabric wicks water ~ pee is different. It's warm and moves faster with more force than water usually does. Someone suggested using a syringe to squirt warm water close to the fabric to test wicking because it closely simulates a urine stream. Using the syringe and a piece of absorbant fabric underneath the suedecloth should give you a good idea of how well a fabric will wick liquid away from the skin when in use.
