Didn't get my waterbirth...things moved too fast to set up the birth tub so we tried the bathtub, which went okay but then the mw asked me to get out so she could check the baby's heart rate (no water doppler....I think I should buy her one lol). I was sitting on the toilet and I felt the urge to push and the moan I gave really opened me up and I realized I couldn't get back to the tub...so I just stood with dh and the mw supporting me and in 3 pushes she was out.

Congrats all mamas!! Tiger Lily, I am so glad that things went well for you and your babe and that nursing is going well.

Congrats to all the new LO's and mama's! Changed, how fun that our babes share a birth date! I can't believe you actually delivered ON Oct 7 and this little squirt decided to come 9 days early on my anniversary!

Labor Lasted How Long: About 6.5 hours from the time active labor started (when I decided this was the real thing). It all went REALLY fast after about 4pm.

Any other news you want to share: Shaylee is bf like a pro and has already gained back over half of the weight she lost after birth Ds is adjusting better than i expected and is an awesome little big brother. He's already really protective.....sooo cute. Even though i didn't get my Vbac recovery from this section has been so much easier than the first and in the end i still got my baby girl!

Labor Lasted How Long: Total - around 19 hours but about 9 hours of active labor
Any other news you want to share: I ended up transporting to the hospital at the end, but it was an AMAZING experience. I will update later with a birth story and pictures. My kids are loving their little brother and we're having a great babymoon. :

Birthdate & Time: Sept. 29, 2008 @ 11:38 a.m.
EDD: Oct 7th
Weight: 7lb 15 oz
Length: 19in
Labor Lasted How Long: I had to be induced due to gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and pemphigoid gestationis. We started with a Foley Catheter the night before at about 9 p.m. Pitocin started at 6 a.m. the next morning. My OB broke my water at about 8 a.m. then hard labor started about an hour or so later. I delivered at 11:38 a.m.

Labor - Home and born in the water. Start to finish 15 hrs of contx, only about 4 hours of active labor, last hour of which was in the tub trying NOT to push so midwives and 2 yo DS could make it to the birth
Labor was AWESOME, none of which I'd describe as painful, spent most of it alone and moving/walking/rocking/and using hyp breathing. DW got home in time for the last 3 hours - we both thought we had lots more labor (and harder) ahead of us the whole time, and then she decided to show up! Loved every minute of it!
