Labor lasted 3 hours from the time the contractions started coming regularly. She was born in the water with mommy and daddy. Big brother came in the room as she was put on my stomach and asked if I pooped her out.

Calliope Django was born at home in the birthpool on October 12 at 4:20 pm after approx 6 hours of labor. 7 pounds, 7 ounces. I was attended by 2 NHS midwives and the perfect birth partner, my DH.

Epi-free vaginal delivery of both. Small breathing issues at first and 8 hours in the special care nursery for monitoring. Doing great now and hopefully home soon.

Labor Lasted How Long: about 1h45min. An hour or so of "hmm... those contractions don't seem to be going away" thoughts, then I woke up DH at 1am to help me, water broke immediately, we started to inflate the birth pool and suddenly I was pushing and could feel her head - barely breathed through 5 or so contractions until the midwives arrived, just in time for her to crown.
