Who are the Kardashians?

I've never watched the show, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" but I see it advertised... until I saw the ads I'd never heard of them. Who are they and why should I keep up with them?

From what I've seen, I'm not missing much -- but the curiosity is getting to me.

Don't worry, you aren't missing too much. Kim dated someone (I think the brother of Brandi, the singer) and made a sex tape. From there, she kinda started being famous for sleeping with someone famous. Now, her family is along for the ride and they have a TV show. Honestly, I don't think there is too much more to them than that.

Their dad was a lawyer, I think one of OJ's, but he died. : I only know that from reading the Perez Hilton gossip site, not from the actual show.

and the girls' mother is remarried to Bruce Jenner, of track/wheaties fame. his spawn brody has been involved in reality shows (The Hills, etc.) bleh! why do I know this stuff....
