trying to breastfeed after reduction PLEASE HELP

hello all,
i am trying to bf my ds--he is 9 weeks on tuesday. I had a reduction about 15 years ago and was not able to bf my first who is now 8--i cried for days and finally gave her a bottle because she was a ftt at 5 pounds and 4 weeks old.......... My milk came in fine this time and all seemed well, but now it seems like i can't keep up with his demand. i am taking more milk special blend and would like to take domperidone but i can't get it shipped to me from inhouse. I have been looking at shatavari and will try that too. Anyone had any luck with shatavari and bfar? or did the dom work better? any advice would be great. i have had to supplement him a few different times because he was still hungry and i hated seeing him "choke" down formula and make weird faces like "this is not what i am used to" He will have to take a bottle as i have to return to work but i want that to be EBM not formula. also i am trying the adiri bottles because they are supposed to be the next breast thing--i think they are a pain because they often leak. any ideas on bottles that will help reduce nipple confusion????

you need an SNS or lactaid, so that everytime you are supplimenting you are still nursing. no bottles-that will not help your problem- here is one

i am sorry i missed the back to work thing-when you go back to work may i suggest the "breastflow" bottle- it is the closest-im my opinion- to the breast.HTH
i still highly reccomend getting an sns if you are having to suppliment,

I know what you are going through. I had the same problems your are BFAR but I was not sucessful so take my advice for what it worth.

Since you are planning on going back to work do you have a pump yet? Can you add a few pumping sessions to try to stimulate more milk? I know it's a pain but I fed, supplemented and pumped every feeding.

Do you think you might be making the milk but it's not getting out? Part of what I found out with BFAR is that part of the supply is being made by the milk ducts but it has no way to get out. If this happens enough it can affect your total supply. I got engorged and mastitis when I tried to increase my supply since my breasts thought they weren't needed and stopped producing. This cost me my milk supply. I'm just mentioning it because I never saw anything about this on LLL, Kellymom and other sites.

Have you talked to the gals over at bfar.org?
They have been a fabulous resource for me!
