I received a great piece of advice this pregnancy that for some reason I hadn't heard before, so I thought I'd share it. Of course, it may be common knowledge, and I just missed it because all of my previous DC have come a little early -- I've never reached the "impatient for baby to be born" stage. But for some reason, I'm pretty sure I'll reach it this time around.
Anyway, the advice was to:
Schedule yourself some treats for around the time you're due. Make them be things you'd really be sad to miss. That way you've got something to look forward to if your baby decides to stay put longer than you'd like.
I took this advice to heart, and am starting to already have a full calendar come September.
DH and I have a fun dinner out planned, a girlfriend and I are going out to lunch one day, I'm taking the day off work to go to the State Fair with the kids. Haha -- I'd better be careful or I'll end up actually disappointed when I go into labor.
