New Syracuse Thread!

Hi there Mamas,

Even though I'm not officially a Syracusan (YET)- I see the need for a new Syracuse and surrounding CNY areas Thread. So, if you are a crunchy Mama in the area, leave a shout-out and some info about yourself! My DH and I grew up in CNY and will be moving back sometime in the next year. We currently live in Albany where there's a great AP community of moms that I'm very connected to. I'm anxious to know who will be in the Syracuse area when we move. How do you mamas find each other, and what sorts of resources and groups are available in the area? I figure starting this thread will be a good chance for peopl e to share ideas and resources, and maybe we'll start a playgroup someday!!

OK, I see you haven't exactly gotten a pile of responses here, but I'm in Oswego (about 45mins north of Syracuse). I'm new here too (moved in Jan), but between buying a house and birthing a baby, haven't met many people yet! I'd love to meet up with some MDC moms sometime, and let me know if you find any good local resources.

I'm attending my first local LLL meeting next in early Sept, so hopefully that will help some!

hi! we do have a playgroup weekly at a local park and try to get together in the Winter also.
I am a SAHM and I live in Bridgeport which is about 15 minutes north east of Syracuse.

I also belong to holistic Moms Network Syracuse chapter. There are 41 members. We have a great AP yahoo group syracuse_ap_parents. I have met many great ap families around here.

What other resources are you looking for?
